COMPASSION IS BEING CONCERNED ABOUT THE SUFFERING OR MISFORTUNES OF ANOTHER AND BEING MOVED TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.
We have been working on goals for the next three years and setting up teams to implement those goals. You can view our goals on the "Current News and Updates" page. Everyone who is a Compassion Pledge Partner and who shared their email address will be receiving updates. I am confident each of you has continued to be compassionate in your daily life.
Thoughts to consider:
"...if being human and being compassionate are the same, why is humanity torn by conflict, war, hatred, and oppression? Why, then, are there so many people in our midst who suffer from hunger, cold, and lack of shelter? Why, then, do differences in race, sex, or religion prevent us from approaching each other and forming community? Why, then, are millions of human beings suffering from alienation, separation, or loneliness? Why, then, do we hurt, torture, and kill each other? Why, then, is our world in such chaos?"
